Goose Green welcomes children to our Nursery from the September after their third birthday. We offer a range of options for families.
We offer part-time places funded by the 15 hours Free Early Education Entitlement, or full-time places which can be funded by the 30 hours Free Extended Entitlement or 15 hours Free Early Education Entitlement plus a weekly top-up fee. You can check and confirm your eligibility for the 30 hours entitlement at www.gov.uk/30-hours-free-childcare.
Option A: Monday to Friday from 8:45am to 3:15pm, term time only. This option is available to those who are eligible for 30 hours Free Extended Entitlement (you will be required to provide your 30 hours code for us to confirm) or the universal 15 hours Free Early Education Entitlement plus an additional top-up fee of £90 a week. The full week is 33.3 hours, but we do not charge for the 3.3 additional hours.
Option B: Monday to Wednesday from 8:45am to 3:15pm, term time only. This is the first option funded by the universal 15 hours Free Early Education Entitlement. This is a total of 19.3 hours, but we do not charge for the additional hours.
Option C: Wednesday to Friday from 8:45am to 3:15pm, term time only. This is the second option funded by the universal 15 hours Free Early Education Entitlement. This is a total of 19.3 hours, but we do not charge for the additional hours.
Topmark offers wraparound provision to Nursery children. They offer Breakfast Club from 7:30am until school starts and After School Club from the end of the school day until 6:30pm. They are an activity based club, so offer children different sports, games and age related free play areas daily. Please note that there is an additional cost for this provision. Further information about their service and how to book can be found here.
Nursery Admissions are managed by the school and not the Local Authority. If you would like to apply for a place in our Nursery for your child please complete an admissions form and return to the school office by 28th February of the year of entry. You can download the admissions form and privacy statement or call into the school office to collect a hard copy.
Applications should be made by January prior to the next September intake. Families will receive notification of the outcome of the application after 5pm on National Offer Day, directly from Southwark Local Authority. Late applications should also be made online.
In-year applications should be made directly to the school. For children moving from another Southwark school, a Southwark In-Year Transfer form must also be completed.
Once we have received your completed forms we invite you and your child to meet with the Head Teacher, and SENCO if applicable, before a placement can be confirmed. This applies to Nursery in-year applications as well Reception to year 6.
